Scouting about!

I had another Caching adventure this week

Both my Boys are Scouts. Ryan is an Explorer Scout and Scott is an Air Scout and they are always going off on adventures and they sound like they have such a good time.

I’ve always wished I could go with them and last Friday I had my chance!

Ryan and Dad went to Air Scouts last week and told them all about Geocaching and how it works

This Friday we met all the Scouts at the nice café with the dog biscuits and they all went caching along the old railway. They were in 5 groups and had 5 caches to find so each group set off to find a different cache

I thought that, as an experienced cache hound, I had better tag along to make sure they were all enjoying the night out. I helped look for caches and alerted them to any other dogs that were around. We had a lovely long walk over the big bridge and back. Finally I decided the best job for me was to sit down back at the beginning and wait for everyone to get back!

I’m pleased to say that all the Scouts did very well. They all took turns reading out the instructions and holding the GPS device (and taking a very friendly little schnauzer for a walk!)

At the end, they all said they had had fun and some of them were going away to find out more about Geocaching so I think that was a good job well done!

I went to a different school this week. Mum said she didn’t think we were working hard enough at the other school and also she wasn’t very happy about how I had been told off.

Dad took me to the new school as Mum was going out without me! I had a very good time and came away with some homework for the week. I have been practicing very hard and I’m getting very good at lying down!

In fact, I’ve been working very hard! I’ve even been helping Mum look after her residents and helping her in the office too!
